Powering The Future From The Heart Of

New South Wales

The Hargraves Energy Project (Project) is a large-scale renewable energy development located near Hargraves in New South Wales, a short distance south of the Central West Orana Renewable Energy Zone. The proposed Project size combines 500 MW of wind and 350MW of solar generation and battery storage. Its current design enables the continuation of agricultural practices within the Project area to enhance resilience and sustainability to maximise agricultural production. The current Project layout includes up to 64 wind turbines with construction expected to begin in 2029. The Project seeks to support New South Wales' clean energy transition by decarbonising the grid and contributing to the State Energy Security Target. It also aims to deliver strong local economic benefits through job creation, increased demand for rural services, and long-term community engagement, particularly with First Nations peoples.
